Prof. N.K. Mehra received his Ph.D (Immunology) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He has pioneered the speciality of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics in India and hisresearch is focused on the study of immune mediators in organ and bone marrow transplantation; genome diversity of HLA and towards developing MHC based vaccination approaches in tuberculosis and other mycobacterial infections. Prof. Mehra is the 'Founder Secretary General' of the Federation of Immunological Societies of Asia-Oceania (FIMSA) and is currently the Vice President of the Federation. He has several awards and honors to his credit. Amongst these is the S.S. Bhatnagar Award of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research of (CSIR) Govt. of India in 1992, which is considered to be the highest award for science in India.

Lt. General (Professor) G. S. Chopra, MBBS 1975, MD Microbiology, Ph.D (AIIMS), MAMS, FUICC. Formerly Prof AFMC Pune, Prof & Head Lab Sciences and Molecular Medicine. Retired as Director General Armed Forces Medical Services ( O&P), Ministery of Defence India. Presently a Professor of Microbiology, at Christian Medical College, Ludhiana. Professor Chopra's contribution to the field of Medicine is commendable, he published more than 90 scientific papers in national and international journals and books.

Dr. Uma Kanga is Assistant Professor at the Department of Transplant Immunology and Immunogenetics, All India Institute Of Medical Sciences Ansari Nagar, New Delhi. Her research interests are Histocompatibility, Clinical Immunogenetics and Transplant Immunology and her work is focused on investigating the genetic diversity of HLA genes in Indian population, understanding molecular basis of disease susceptibility and identifying Immune markers influencing outcome of organ and bone marrow transplants. She has published more than 40 international and national scientific papers and 3 book chapters. She was awarded the Commonwealth Academic Staff Fellowship by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (2009), Fellowships by the Japanese Ministry of Health (2000) and the Japanese Society for Promotion of Science (2014). She also serves as a member of General Assembly of the International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS). She has made significant contribution towards establishment of the Asian Indian Donor Marrow Registry (AIDMR), an Indian volunteer donor registry.

Dr. Biman Saikia is Professor of Immunopathology at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh. His area of interest is in the molecular prediction and diagnosis of transplant rejection. He has published more than 70 scientific publications in journals of repute and written 9 book chapters. He is also a founder member of the Indian Society for Primary Immune Deficiency (ISPID) and the current Vice President of the Society and has done pioneering work in the spread of awareness, diagnosis and research on Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases in India.
